Wolfgang Amadé,

What joy that little FX is so healthy! Take good care of him…He is, after all, the next Mozart! I am so curious about your new work with the Freihaus-Theater. Josepha tries to explain it, but she makes it sound like a fantastical spectacle. Three boys in a flying gondola? Really? She is thrilled beyond words that you are writing something especially for her. As you should, because her voice is a fantastical spectacle! Almost frightening. & speaking of that…

You & Konstanze have certainly pulled your little family through a scary time. I am glad you finally had the sense to let Stanzi do the finances, as you should have done the minute you married her! (You do have the cleverest Weibchen in Wien!) If you have two minutes when you’re not working fiendishly on Die Zauberflöte in Schikaneder’s little Komponisthaus he built for you, perhaps you’d be good enough to drop by for tea & tell us what it’s really all about! I can’t wait to hear it!

your sister,
♥A.
